KTC lead the implementation of a SharePoint PerformancePoint 2010 (PPS) based BI solution for a large insurance company. The work was all done onsite on the client’s premises over a six month full time engagement with a team of 6 including BI and SharePoint developers. KTC assisted in a variety of tasks including configuration and troubleshooting of all BI components across the multiple environments.

The solution involved the creation of custom SharePoint BI site templates and dashboards based on Reporting Services and Excel Services.

Specifically for this project KTC authored a sophisticated packaging and deployment tool for PPS which supports multiple developers and allows for packaging complete published dashboards along with all related reporting artefacts into a single versioned BI solution package. This tool provides the ability to deploy packages across multiple environments (DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD) in a repeatable fashion while handling the publishing of all package dependencies automatically. This functionality was critical for satisfying the stringent auditing requirements that was a key driver for the project.
